Even though my daughter is 10 already I’m looking constantly for ways to boost her confidence and self love/respect, as my upbringing did not help me develop these tools on my own. Really enjoyed reading these. Thank-you

I absolutely loved this post! I am using this as one of my sources for a “teaching children self-esteem” paper I am writing for my college composition class. I struggle to this day to truly love who I am, but I am hoping that I will be able to make adjustments to my thought process and how I raise my future children. Thank you so much for sharing!

I have a son and I really focus on bringing out the best in him and raising a gentleman. I’d love to know your advice about this with major!

I’m completely onboard with all of the above, and its great to find a kindred spirit that is sharing her wisdom and approach to parenting with the rest of us.
Thank you so much, I especially love reading the comments, that are always positive and supportive. It seems you’ve attracted a great audience of likeminded people, where we can meet at your site to share common ideals and values about parenting. Thank you to all the supporters too. Big Love xx

As someone who doesn’t have children yet, this post was so moving and powerful. I’m going to stash this away for when I do become a Mother because this discussion and your points are so incredibly important. It also makes me so thankful to my parents for having been so mindful of how they spoke around me and what they did to encourage and strengthen me in every way, especially in a family full of boys and being the only girl. As someone who babysits/nannies and has been doing so for 15+ years, it is fascinating to watch how children perceive things, what they pick up on so strongly and what they carry with them from an early age and beyond. Marlowe is such a hilarious, intelligent and loving little girl, and she will no doubt remember these lessons for years and years to come! xo – Molly
