And yes, date night is an essential to keeping mom and dad happy and the family dynamic peaceful for everyone! There are so many ways people can make date night happen (babysitting swapping, nearby family, putting kids to bed first to pay a lower sitter rate, etc.). I’m able to afford a traditional sitter, but I still think the biggest obstacle to going out is that parents just a don’t think they need to go out anymore, or as often. Good for you for spreading the positive message about keeping your marriage strong by continuing to date one another. ?
