I actually puked my brains out during my labor. Like six times. But I ate in between and drank that green juice and it really helped me keep my energy up! I used cal/mag pills crushed up since I wasn't able to find the liquid before I made my first batch.]]> In reply to Kendra.

Hi Kelsey, First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know this time can be really really hard and just know that there is hope after miscarriage! In terms of nausea, I always found fresh ginger (ginger tea made from the root and ginger candy) to be really helpful and a great natural solution. I haven't come across homeopathic remedies specifically for nausea, but Bach Rescue Remedy is great for anxiety and I've used that a lot in all my pregnancies. Good luck!]]> In reply to Kelsey.

I was sick several time while in labor with my daughter and I was so nauseous I couldn’t even move to find comfort positions. I love the idea of the laborade because this time around I’m not eating a thing once I know things are underway. I was in labor for 48 hours (hard labor for 24) so maybe that’s too long to go without food? I’ll ask my doctor.

Anyway, what calcium/magnesium supplement do you recommend for this recipe?

Thank you for your posts. I recently experienced a miscarriage with my second pregnancy and so enjoy reading your words. They give me encouragement and optimism and helped me grieve and overcome my fears for a future pregnancy. Bravo for your honesty!
I have not gone the natural route but am interested in natural remedies. As you are choosing a medicine free birth, what did you do the last time for nausea? Are there any other homeopathic remedies that you recommend? This is something that I experienced both during my son’s birth and miscarriage. I’ll definitely keep the Laborade in mind for next time.
Good luck with your son’s birth! Sending lots of warm thoughts!

I’m def making a batch or two to bring to the hospital with me in February. I’m so excited to follow your journey to your second baby, I’m right behind ya and rooting for you, girl!

I have a 22 month old and 11 week old. One thing I hated with each pregnancy was unsolicited advice so sorry for this! With 2 real young ones, what little time you have now is about to really get cut down. I had that same pump first round and now with a toddler hanging off me, don’t have 15 mins to pump multiples times a day. Upgraded to a stronger one and I’m at maximum 5 minutes total for both sides. I use the Spectra 2 this time. The upgrade leaves me with a few minutes to do fun things like wash my face or use the bathroom alone. Good luck mama, you got this!
