There are sooooo many amazing kids books in all styles and themes and I am a bit obsessed with finding the right combination of a good story, good message, and beautiful illustrations to call our favorites! My 5yo loves folk tales and fairy tales whichever i’ve also been having a lot of fun with, but I feel like I get to really delve into the search for cute books again now that my 2yo is also loving books! They both LOVE animals.

Some of our favorites are anything by Jan Brett, especially Annie and the Wild Animals; literally every Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler book; Barbara Reid’s Two By Two, Amy Dixon’s Sophie’s Animal Parade, David McPhail’s Edward in the Jungle, and classics like Dr. Seuss and Curious George.

When I traveled to UK I found one (the cat in the hat) at an antique store and had to buy it for my future children lol. And I think it’s hilarious. I also found a Winnie the Pooh one and a Peter Rabbit and had to hav them.

I just ordered the Mr. Rogers book. One of our favorites right now is The Wonky Donkey. It is a strange yet hilarious book both my four year old and eleven year old always want me to read.
