Those are some very classy dress choices. I watched Bye Bye Birdie years ago with my dad, something about red heads, its an exciting color I guess.
When I was growing up comedy was and is my favorite. I always wondered what it would be like to be a comedy writer like Rob Petrie on the Dick Van Dyke show. It was SO nice on that show, to see how Rob with his wife Laura, were always there for each other during the good times, as well as the less than good times, where they were there to help each other to heal, also to become stronger.
It would be nice for my new acquaintance friend from Pennsylvania to make a time to visit her family in Oregon. Even thou it is the rainier time during February in Oregon, a sincere gentleman, will be there to keep Joan dry and warm.
A nice meal together, French, Italian, or Chinese (if we are REALLY feeling adventurous), with a nice walk together, after dinner.
For me it has seemed LIKE a lifetime since I have been on a proper valentines day date. Until there is time built in, and two people agree to be exclusive together, it is nothing more than two people sharing their valuable time together. If more people understood that, then their would be less untruths in dating, and more people spending time with a friend or a good book, instead of playing games with people.
I also loved Ann Margaret in Grumpy Old Men. I would say Jack Lemmon’s character is more of an anthropologist, than grumpy. Walter Matthews character, there is the grump, not letting go of the past, which most of us have had challenges with.
Thankfully my parents with me ALWAYS discussed the filmed stories of tv and film that we watched together, from as long as I remember. Some accurate and less than accurate messages in these stories.
The humanities was a favorite course of mine in college, because it helps us to endure the challenges of change in our lives.
It would be nice for my friend Joan, to make time to get back to me over the phone. I miss her voice, the feeling, the strength, the less than strength, that life brings us. Sadly most women believe men are supposed to be strong ALL of the time.
I humbly encourage women who believe that, to turn on Dr. Phils Show and see how well holding that in works in a marriage.
I just bought some nice brown slacks at Kohls, such wonderful deep pockets, to carry things that are necessary throughout the day.
During my Valentines time with Joan, it would be nice for her to pick out a nice bracelet for her hand, to match a necklace I already have for her, you know a Valentines Day scavenger hunt, sorta how life is right?
Anyway Eva, sorry to take up precious space on your blog, but it is nice to see a good role model for women such as you contributing wisdom, substance, humor, reasonable empathy with compassion, mixed in with being artistic and crafty, mixed in with some thriftiness.
A lot of tried and true old American values there.
Joan my new friend, who I appreciate is very similar. It is rare, and very refreshing.
But Joan has to answer her phone. She hasn’t met my friends where I live in Montana. I would like to meet her family, too bad Joan couldn’t take the train over from Pennsylvania. Then we meet in Portland.
At least Bye Bye Birdie has a happy ending, so does the Dick Van Dyke show too. Maybe it can happen to a humble man from Montana, a Whitefish Columbia Falls man, with a woman from Philadelphia.
It would be nice to hear Joan say yes to a Portland valentines date. Joan is appreciated, such good inner beauty with her. But dates and arrangements must follow talking on the phone. Someone cannot gauge interest level with words on a screen, the emphasis in a womans voice on the phone, that will tell me whether Joan has high interest level, or if she is stringing me along.
Doc Love in my instance would say yes, you are being stringed along. I feel differently with Joan, but it would be humbly beneficial to talk non screen again.
She gets back to my texts very quickly which probably shows high interest level, but hearing a womans voice and what she emphaises’, with her actions, Doc Love says, “That tells you everything.
This sounds like a romantic comedy script or something, detective dating men, seeking clarity from secretive detective dating women. Challenging yet fascinating.
