At this time hosting parties is too hard. My little boy is three and at friend’s parties I end up herding him, and often other people’s kids, to the appropriate areas so they don’t get into mischief. When he’s a bit older I can be the hostess with the mostess.
It’s not terribly sofisticated but I love activities like cookie decorating! It gives people something to do and a central place to gather. If a guest is on the shy side they have an activity and it’s easy to start light conversation when you’re sharing frosting and sprinkles!
A surprisingly delicious drink I’ve had is 7-Up mixed with watermelon sherbet! My friend served it at her daughter’s birthday party! It was a beautiful light green color and tasted much fancier than Sherbet and soda!
