Oops, hold on I need more tissues…….I legit meant that. As I was reading your beautiful birthing experience, I could not control my tears. The details of each and every moment, the emotion, the love and support, and what really got me was, Marlowe. In all of your stories I see how she is very nurturing with her baby brother, I see why now. She experienced something so amazing..magical. She had immediate contact with him as if Mateo was her baby. That’s when the bonding began!! How beautiful! Major was also a brave little trooper from the photos I saw. He will be the cool big brother. I wish so much health and happiness with you all.

omg, Eva, this was beyond beautiful. i had goosebumps while reading, but the second i got to the part where marlowe wasn’t just a bystander in her brother’s birth but knew how to take care of her mama during that time had me absolutely bawling. she has the sweetest heart and soul!

i loved the pics of kyle and mateo skin to skin, but the ones of marlowe and mateo had me sobbing again lol. the look on her face, that intense pride and love (as a big sister, i recognize it well!) at such a young age is just what i needed to remind me that we have really, really amazing souls in the future generation.

Congratulations Eva on the birth of your beautiful son and well done on being so strong of mind and body. My children will be 16 and 13 this Summer and I still remember and feel their births vividly. I am now a single Mum of 5 years and often feel like a complete failure no matter how strong I seem to those looking on. But something I know I did well is birthing my children – the most empowering experiences of my life and I feel forever proud I did it! My children are my sunshine, my warriors and when life seems full of fear and uncertainty, I look at them and think ‘we are strong, we can do anything!’ x
