Hi Bree! I don't have a velvet couch! Do you mean the leather one in this one? The two other rooms with couches are the Family Room and my studio]]> In reply to Bree.

Is it custom mixed to match the yellows of the rug? Stunning room, and the rest of the house is preeeeeetty great too 😉

I take my hat off to you, super woman! How on earth do you find the work/children/domestic chores/general daily routine stuff free time to start let alone finish?! I can't seem to find hours in any given day that aren't already allocated! I have decorated my children's bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen by myself but it all looks less than professional and the main living areas can't be shut off for long enough to complete at my snail's pace. I think I need a contractor to tackle these rooms instead. Agree, word of mouth is probably best.]]> In reply to Eva Martino.

Yes, I actually do all the decorating myself! I don't do renovations myself (obviously) but the decorating is something I like to get my hands dirty with :) I would recommend just starting with one room, and one thing, and tackling it that way. I've heard Angie's list is a good resource for finding contractors though if you would like to hire people! Also word of mouth is so important. If you know somebody who has had wonderful work done to their home definitely ask for their contact info!]]> In reply to Jo.

You really do have such amazing taste. I adore interiors and get ridiculously excited about a project or redecorating opportunity. I love pulling together mood boards, researching where to source furniture and accessories but, and it’s a big but, I am so often derailed at the start point because after all the wonderful planning, the actual ‘doing’ just seems so scary! I am pretty capable and have heaps of common sense but a full decorating overhaul seems to knock my confidence. As a single Mum of two school age kids, I just don’t feel best placed to do the big jobs by myself. I’m guessing you guys are too busy with work and family to do the actual decorating yourselves? I have been let down by trades people in the past; shoddy plumbers, decorators who cut corners…. Any tips on how to choose decorators and other trades with confidence they will do a decent job? I’m Thank you x
