I love your blog and your honesty and of course you need branding to support what you do, if only we could do whatever we wanted without ever having to worry about the cost… You are totally relatable and down to earth. I too have a 2 year old and she seems as feisty as your Marlowe, which by the way is the cutest thing ever. Keep up the great writing!

Brand partnerships/blogging/social media has taken the world by storm these past few years. Regular friends who posted fun outings have now become a “brand” with their on trend hair color and poses. Fun blogger accounts have turned into glossy magazine ads. The fact that social media has created a green monster of envy and keeping-up-with-Joneses posts is to say the least. So in a sea of inauthenticity, your bright light shines through and it’s SO refreshing.

You are an actress, that comes from an amazing acting family, and yet you are also a mom with her camera like us, a blogger, and a woman charting her own path. Keep on posting! #CaliforniaFan

So I know for sure you take a personal interest in the products and not doing it just for the money. People will always judge but admire how open you are about everything. I personally love the fact that you do these brand posts because it introduces people like me to things I never heard of or been thinking about purchasing. I support your momma hustle 🙂

It takes so much time and hard work. If you had any time I wondered if you could check it out nezzycox.com and I would love some feedback as I’m new to all this. Thanks so much. Love your stuff.

I read your blog regularly and have noticed the increased branded content lately. I read a lot of blogs and branded content is not my favorite as it often simply does not feel genuine. Sometimes branded content also feels contrived and impersonal. Your post today is genuine and not defensive–you have taken the time to explain your perspective and explain how and why you are making choices for your business and for your family. You don’t ‘owe’ your readers an explanation, but I sincerely appreciate that you offered one. You changed my mind today–with your honesty and gentle tone. I appreciate the effort you are making to connect with your readers and be forthcoming. You have changed my perspective on branded content a bit. It is a business, absolutely, but by reaching out to your readers this way, you have certainly won my support. I look forward to future posts ?.

I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your blog and the content. Your voice and experiences are honest and relatable. I enjoy your partnerships and love learning more about other brands! I have never once questioned your intentions. I’m not a blogger, but I can only imagine how much unseen energy and expense most go into maintaining a quality blog. Keep up the great work! I’ll be following you all the way. xoxo Chelsea

I’m not surprised that brands sponsor some of your content; I have always known bloggers need to do this. The only time I raised my eyebrows was when you shared a product that isn’t natural or in line with what (I perceive) your “brand” to be. I think it was a few months ago you said you used Batiste dry shampoo. As a mom, of course I love a good dry shampoo! But this one made that screechy-record-stopping-sound in my mind because it has a score of 6 on the EWG and, having used it in the past, know it’s a really crappy product (hello white flakes/residue all over my head!). Anyway, I really enjoy your blog and realize you need to partner to make this awesome blog happen. I just question things if the product/brand doesn’t jive with what (in my opinion) your lifestyle is. Happy holidays!
